Zachery Onyango
Zachery Onyango is the Founder and current Chief Executive Officer of Development Alert. Prior to founding Development Alert, Zachery supported the implementation of numerous projects in the fields of Education, Environment, Economic Empowerment and Access to clean Water by International Charities and governments like Save the Children, Plan International, The Columbus Zoo USA, Global Green Grant USA and Government of Canada under the Canada Fund for Local Initiative, Government of USA under the Self Help Grant by the US Embassy in Uganda, Ecosystems Alliance Project supported by the International Union for Conservation of Nature- the Netherlands Committees- IUCN-NL among others.
Michelle Joy
Michelle Joy is the founder of Global Joy Giving, a philanthropic initiative in the USA. Some of her past volunteer work includes helping raise funds for building a school in Kenya, and most recently a clean water well, Sewing Machines and Startup Fabrics and support to the elderly and vulnerable in Uganda.
Global Joy Giving is partnered with Development Alert, a nonprofit, nongovernmental community Based Organization in Kisia, Mwenge, Paya Sub County-Tororo District in Eastern Uganda. They collaborate to bring assistance and relief of all kinds to hundreds of people in the community.
Joseph Jawanghe
Joseph is a graduate of Makerere University and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education and also, holds a Certificate in Guidance and Counseling from the same. Currently Joseph in pursuing Diploma in Project Planning and Management at University of Wisconsin, USA. He has over 5 years of experience working and managing community projects in the nonprofit sector.
Prior joining Development Alert, Joseph worked with Right to Play and Kyebando Youth and Women Development Link organizations.
Gerald Othieno
Gerald is the Finance and Administration Manager at Development Alert. He holds a Diploma in Business Administration from Makerere University. He has also acquired certificates in computerized accounting using tally and QuickBooks from Africa Population Consult-Makerere.
Gerald has over 10 years of experience in the Finance and Administration work having worked with Tick Hotel, Emerald Hotel, Bergen Consult and other businesses.
Mr. Othieno is adaptable and offers a wealth of human resources’ and accounting experience to Development Alert.
Dianah Nandobya
Dianah holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Makerere University. She has over 5 years of experience in projects implementation management and coordination to ensure effective and efficient participation of stakeholders.
Henry Okumu
Henry is one of the founder members of Development Alert. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Social Sciences) Degree from Makerere University. Henry has over 6 years of experience in the nonprofit sector acquired while with Uganda Wildlife Society and Conservation and Tourism Uganda.
